Without Him

Words & Music: Mylon LeFevre
Without Him I could do nothing
Without Him I’d surely fail
Without Him I would be drifting
Like a ship without a sail
Without Him I would be dying
Without Him I’d be enslaved
Without Him life would be worthless
But with Jesus thank God I’m saved
Oh Jesus, oh Jesus
Do you know Him today
Please don't turn Him away
Oh Jesus, my Jesus
Without Him how lost I would be
Without Him how lost I would be
Recorded: 1966/05/27, first released on How Great Thou Art

Flaming Star (the song) and Without Him made me think, "What's the next chapter after this world?" Given that it's 3:50 PM EST and there have been no comments since March, Without Him does not seem to be a popular song of the day. Overall, His Hand in Mine and He Touched Me were more engaging LPs in my view.
Beautiful gospel number sung from the heart. Very touching.
Not one of my favorites to be blunt although the lyrics tend to stick with you. "His Hand In Mine" was the top LP in my mind.
Elvis proved time and time again why he is The King. This beautiful Christian song is a true classic!
I like it, but I don't love it. Sometimes I skip it. However, HGTA is my fave of his gospel LPs.
Not his greatest gospel by far. I prefer the uptempo gospels anyway.
Just perfect, in it's feeling and tempo. ATop Gospel tune.
An absolutely heart felt performance - he certainly knew how to deliver the gospel numbers
I am an aetheist, but both His Hand In Mine and How Great Thou Art albums are flawless. And Without Him is a fantastic song.
This is such a beautiful song and it's my third most favorite gospel song that Elvis ever recorded. The best gospel music will definitely always be Elvis' gospel music and no one will ever be able to sing gospel songs as well as Elvis sang them.
great song. I try and listen to this everyday!
A wonderfully written sacred song and Elvis' version is powerful and perfect. As a Christian, this song has helped me through some very tough times. When I listen to Elvis sing the chorus "Oh Jesus....", I still get goosebumps. 5 stars from me.
A good choice of song for a great album. I never tire of playing the new Cd version. Maybe not just as good as HHIM but still well recorded and released at a time when the fans wanted something differant from the movie soundtracks. No pop singer could do glospel like Elvis.
I do like the song and the album is great. Imagine he would be 76 years by now,i will celebrate it whit this album.
My least favorite song on HGTA LP. It just never appealed to me musically.
