I was hoping they'd use the Let's Be Friends cover but this is ok. Rounds off the 60s with whatever Ernst has in the vaults.

I will be buying this release and playing it often.

There's some half decent songs on this CD, but I'll pass and stick with what I have already. Seems like the song "Almost" gets the take after take replay. Don't think so.

Charro & Let's Forget about the Stars on a single disc Herman?? That certainly would be a "Single"!

Great cover. Nice to have these soundtrack songs collected. I will buy this. Here´s hoping for Kissin´ Cousins and For LP fans only.

It's a bit light in terms of unreleased stuff. If it's not in the vaults then can't expect it to be here. What frustrates me is that they could quite easily have made this a double disc with live a little love a little. That would have been value for money.

With few songs on each movie performed, I think this 3 on 1 package makes good economic sense. Otherwise, strictly for movie completists only.

John4126, this particular release (just as it is) is unique for two main reasons... #1 - All 3 soundtracks were recorded after Elvis' career milestone '68 NBC-TV Special material was recorded, and... #2 - All 3 movies were released in 1969. As much as I appreciate value for money, I feel that Ernst made the right decision of giving "Live A Little, Love A Little" its own separate release.

Memphisfan. I see what you're saying and sort of understand your logic. It didn't appear to be a consideration with the double features release. Not sure what difference it would have made having live a little as disc one. I'm aware of the recording chronology. You could argue a before and after Memphis sessions element to it. Still, it's an Interesting release and I'm looking forward to hearing it.

Where are the outtakes of rubberneckin". The alternate versions from the box "behind closed doors" . Maybe it was a better idea to use the songs as classic albums as "Almost in love" and "let's be friends"

The RCA double features series covered all of these movies and is my go to release if and when the mood strikes to hear these movie songs. As much as I like Almost, there are too just many takes here and that just gets tedious to listen to when there are no other takes of other songs. I'll stick with the 90's disc.

I agree with "Steve V" in his remarks. I too, have the Double Series by RCA that covers all these soundtracks. This FTD issue is redundant with the exception of the song "Almost", as I said in a prior remark, take after take.

Interressant and very nice cover based on the single "clean up your own back yard" but I await the albums camden Flaming Star, Let's be friends and Almost in love.I would like for this end of the year the release of a special on tour or in concert (Sony or FTD, both are doing a good job !)

I would have preferred that the masters from the films (along with their variations) be grouped together in chronological order. But the fact that they aren't won't take away from my enjoyment of this release. I love the song "Almost." It's one of those songs I can listen to repeatedly. My Double Features collection is long gone. Only have so much storage space.

Thanks, FTD team.

~ Ernst was inspired to give "Live A Little, Love A Little" its own separate FTD release when several outtakes were discovered. As for the Double Features CDs from the 1990s, I liked 'em then and I still do.

hmmm seems like i'm buying this one more or less for good sound and more takes of the song 'Almost'

A must have if you want your collection complete. Now, finally, Kissin´ cousine, please.
TheMemphisFan wrote on September 25, 2017
So true, Gladyslove. It would've made better sense to me (and probably you) if the "Kissin' Cousins" FTD had been released before this new "Last Movies" FTD. ~ Considering that "Let Us Pray" was the very last song performed in a scripted Elvis movie, it's appropriately placed as the final track on this disc.
