Support Ron Tutt

July 14, 2011 | People

Strange as it may seem, Ronnie Tutt - considered by many the Best Drummer Ever - is still not inducted in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. A new Facebook group has set its goal very clearly, and is called: "I Support Ron Tutt for the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame". If you're on Facebook, join the Ron Tutt Support Group now, we need to have Ronnie in the Hall of Fame!

Out of both "Famous" Drummers for Elvis, Ronnie Tutt was the most professional (and soberest). Hopefully The Hall Of Fame people with get there crap together. A lot of those recent inductees I don't even consider "Rock N' Roll".

Ronnie Tutt, one of the best, and should be acknowledged by the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.

You mean the best rock drummer of the 20th century and the drummer mainly responsible for much of Elvis' stage shaking and quaking is not already admitted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame? How baffling is that? Hear that everyone?? The question is: WHY THE HELL NOT??

C'mon! Even Dollie Parton's drummer is inducted..

I agree he should be in because of his incredible talent, but here is the problem. He is known mostly for his stage work with Elvis in the 70's as opposed to DJ who was on those ground breaking fabulous records the 50's Thats a big difference. Im not sure the HOF will induct him for stage work. What studio work is he famous for besides Burning Love? To be honest, I never knew who he was before he hooked up with Elvis as opposed to Burton whom I knew from the great Ricky Nelson records.

I agree Ronnie is a good drummer though DJ Fontana is better, just listen to Elvis' earlier work such as "Too Much". Ronnie should be in though !

There are a LOT of deserving musicians not in the Rock and Roll HOF...can you believe the Crickets are not in there????

Drummer should be in the HOF for the ground breaking records they played on, really influential sounds. Making Elvis shake on stage is not enough for the HOF. As good as he is, I would say he doesnt have a chance unless the TCB band gets in as a whole unit. That would make more sense.

Steve V, your analysis is quite correct. I also think that the TCB band as a whole deserves it.

If you're gonna put drummers in the Hall Of Fame, apart from Ronnie how about, Hal Blaine (Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, Phil Spector records & millions of other hits). Jerry Allison (The Crickets). Buddy Harman (Elvis Nashville recordings & loads of other country & Rock 'n' Roll artists).
