Quickpoll Results

September 09, 2003 | Other
Our last quickpoll was a slow one. In opposition to most other polls it took quite some time to reach 500 votes. 70% of the voters do like the new video, and 30% doesn't. Did the other couple of hundreds refuse to vote negative?

The new quickpoll is about the upcoming "2nd To None": Do you prefer the "Silver" or the "half face" cover?

Seems like we're writing about this topic an awful lot, doesn't it? Must mean we're all really concerned that Elvis is represented by the best cover possible. My vote goes to the "Silver" cover. It outdistances the "half-face" cover by a country mile. Definitely. Without a doubt. For sure. Please, BMG, do yourself a big time favor and listen to the voice of the fans on this one! And thanks again to ElvisNews.com for allowing us a forum to discuss issues like this and offer up our opinions about them, however divergent they may be.

This whole cover issue seems to get more and more confounding. This afternoon I checked out "2nd to None" on Amazon.com and in the general listing they had the "half-face/half-digit" cover pictured. When I clicked on the larger image option, however, an upsized version of the "ELVIIS/black lettering/silver-gray background" cover appeared. Has there been an official change? Or, is BMG hedging its bets by offering the same collection in two different covers? Or, is this actually a very carefully planned and manipulated marketing maneuver to get the real diehards among the diehards to buy the disc twice in order to have both covers for their "complete" collections? It would certainly tweak sales a bit, yes?

I love the cover for the single 'rubberneckin'. Something like that should be used for the cover of '2nd to none'.
