QuickPoll Results And New Poll

May 03, 2006 | Other
In our last quickpoll we asked you your opinion on bootleggers re-releasing (their) old material. The poll said "Bootleggers should not re-release old material?" From the 166 voters 68% agreed, 32% did not.

For our new poll we kind of repeat the question, but now now more positive: "Re-releasing old Camden compilations is a good idea".

The Camden-albums must not be released in there orginal form ! I think if they would be released again lets do it by Ernst en the boy's (FTD) and give us some more alternate takes. Double CD's?? But Hell i'm not dissapointed we CAN CHOOSE MAN!! ( or WOMAN). if we don't want it we don't buy it!! I'm not buying Folk's , i'm now listen to the man!!

Yes, release all the Camden albums in their original form. Most of them weren't released on cd in the States. FTD sales won't count toward further RIAA certifications. Need especially to re-release Elvis' Christmas Album (1970 package). It's certified at 9 million units. Another 1 million units sold over the next several years will give Elvis his first Diamond award. C'mon Ernst!! Retire It's Christmas Time and put ECA back on the market with the original 70's cover.

It will be fine if RCA release all the Camden LPs on CD. But it would be surely great if they released them on FTD in the soudtrack 7´inch format with bonus material. Let´s go, Ernst !

Mark64: Available where? On E-Bay? As an import (bootleg)? I won't pay $45.00 or whatever on E-bay and I don't deal with bootleggers. None of these titles is currently available to the general public in general release as far as I'm aware. Not in the USA. Yes, the Christmas album is available as "It's Christmas Time", but that won't get Elvis his diamond award. You're missing the point. If they are going to release these Camden albums they need too release them in their original form so that any sales will count toward additional RIAA certifications.

As far as OLD CAMDEN goes, it's a good idea for those that are interested in collecting original artwork. But.... cd's don't appear to have the same appeal as the OLD LP's to the true collector. CD's are great as far as the quality and "compact", but again it's my opinion that RCA, Camden are going too far with the re-re-re-release of Elvis songs. RCA should look into releasing an album at least yearly of 1 concert, and 1 studio. I myself am tired of portions of concerts being released on many CDs just to see the ENTIRE concert 3 years later sitting on the shelf. BY THE WAY? Not trying to miss the whole point with this question: Why is it that RCA keeps Elvis such a secret? We know the music/video that's being horded, why do they insist on keeping us in the dark? We are the Fans, We are the collectors! Why treat us this way? I HAVE AN IDEA FOR A POLL --- WHO WOULD SIGN A PETITION ASKING RCA TO TREAT ELVIS FANS WITH MORE RESPECT, AND TRY TO IMPROVE THEIR PRODUCT (Elvis). How many times do we have to stuff their pockets when we buy that new cd for the few UNRELEASED they hold under our noses, just to have a new improved 'O L D' don't be cruel, hound dog, teddy bear, love me tender, suspicious minds......... You get the idea. Sorry for preaching, I'm just sick with RCA taking advantage of us!
