Three Great albums, like what a way to kick off an album with t-r-o-u-b-l-e. One of the best openers on any Elvis album, the whole lp is very strong throughout. Elvis Boulevard has a striking cover and it took me years to really like it but i do, because Elvis was just as influenced by Count John Mc Cormick and Mario Lanza as he was by Arthur Big Boy Crudup and Bill Monroe and it shows here with Danny Boy and the wonderful, dramatic Hurt. The strings drown a lot of the other songs out and its pretty sad in places. Moody blue, a great patchwork Quilt of an album, very popular in the late seventies and a funky Way Down and some semi opera to boot. All round a diverse collection of styles and singing on all three albums and well worth getting at such a knocked down price.

If the sound is better then I'd buy it. you can't go wrong for that price. Maybe give away my old copies, but if HopalongC is right then maybe I'll skip it. Can anyone confirm either way?

I have the latest Elvis' Golden Records Original Album Classics Box and it says P1997 on it, so I guess this forthcoming release won't necessarily use the latest (2007-) remasters.

Do the cd's come in a standard jewel case or in a cheap cardboard sleeve?

Logic or consistemcy with Elvis' label? Why should they start now?

The previous two "Original Album Classics" have both had 5 CDs in a small box. Why has this version got only 3 CDs? The addition of perhaps "Promised Land" & "Good Times" would have made this an excellent set. No logic or consistency here... What next – a 2CD or 6 CD set?

Classic album, cant say its bad. but i just don't really like to buy classic elvis albums anymore since i already got so much of those. doesnt mean i dont like them but when u got over the 40 classic albums i think thats pretty much enough lol. still interesting release with those remastered songs, althought i prefer original sound with no remastering done and no overdubs.
