Matchstick Elvis

February 12, 2010 | Other

A sculpture Elvis Presley has been made out of 50,000 matchsticks. It took the artist, David Mach, more than 500 hours to do and has just sold for 18,000. Mr Mach has also made matchstick sculptures out of things like a bear, gorilla and a rhino.

My props to the artist. It really looks like Elvis.

The buyer overpaid, and sorry, but it looks more like a young Christopher Walken than Elvis.

A true artist, amazing that he could create something that looks so much like Elvis out of matchsticks! That is real talent! I hope that means he's an Elvis fan as well!

O.K. you guys who knock the artist. Let's see if you could do better. In fact try and "MATCH" that if you can.

Great work. And above all I am happy that it is not the regular Vegas style. We need more emphasis on other periods too.
