To my surprise I found more magazines in the mailbox than expected. Attached was a note "sorry, this was delivered in wrong box", so excuses to the fanclubs on behalf of the Dutch post for the belated mentioning.
The July/August issue of the German fanclub magazine Graceland had a promo CD for the recent "Private Presley" release. They started a series on the Memphis Mafia, part one is on Sonny and Red West. Another series started, this on is on the Straight Arrow label. A huge article on 'The Day The World Stood Still" (uh, could that be August 16, 1977? The last article is on the Easy Come, Easy Go sessions. Of course all regulars are present too!
The Norwegian eye candy had its 91st issue. As usual there are many, many great pictures. Next to the shorties and usual fanclub magazine items, there is attention for August 16, 1977, Sonny West, Elvis' last show on June 26 and.. Spinout
From Spain is the 100th issue of Club Elvis (Congrats!!). Their events get a lot of attention. The 2nd and final part of the series on Elvis' 1955 shows and of course news and reviews are included too.
The September issue of Elvis My Happiness (101) from France says Elvis never left the building, and that's true, so true. A lot of space is reserved for the Memphis trip, Linda Thompson and Blue Hawaii. The new releases, 'Today in France' and other news are, as always, available too.
