Surely this has more merit than the countless compilations of 50's track issued recently. I enjoyed volume 1 and there are several on this one that I'm looking forward to hearing.

I goes like this: "I love my baby. I love my baby. Hey hey hey. And my baby loves me." Just kidding.

Some of you guys are obviously spending too much time listening to 'Harum Scarum' outtakes. 'I'm Gonna Bid My Blues Goodbye' is a song Elvis sang during the Million Dollar Quartet session. He used the rhythm of 'Love My Baby' for 'Mystery Train'. Both are Junior Parker songs. This is a great CD. Some of the versions used might not be the originals (Freddie Bell, for example), but they're the ones Elvis was inspired by. The Brownie McGhee version of 'I'm 10,000 Years Old' (the correct title) is a million times better than Elvis' version. Now, get back to your 'Harum Scarum' outtakes and dreams of which belt goes with which jumpsuit.

Boy, what a biased article ("In the series "how can we make money with Elvis' name""), good thing this site isn't a proper news site

A great compilation. But palle youre completely right. it's better than the cd's that came out the last time.Sometimes are the versions better than the Elvis versions. Listen for example to Eshter Phillips version (not on this cd) of Release me. It's a hunderd times better than the version of Elvis. But for 90% what Elvis recorded is better than the versions on this cd.But i like these versions too.
