As RCA discontinued extended plays in the early 70's, Camden came to the "rescue" to release those tracks no longer available and gave us "C'mon Everybody" and "I Got Lucky". The soundtrack extended plays "Follow That Dream", "Kid Galahad", "Viva Las Vegas" and "Easy Come, Easy Go" along with a b-side to a single made up these albums and for the most they are very good. I am mixed as to my feelings concerning these LP's. Upon release, they took away sales from Elvis' current LP's, but at the same time it would be a shame for eight of these ten songs to no longer have been available. To own a CD with outtakes isn't for me, but I do have fond memories of getting this LP as a Christmas present from my sisters.

I agree Deano, I thought I Got Lucky and C'mon Everybody a GREAT way to replace my 45 EPs. I do not like 45s, I only bought those that contained songs not on LPs. Here I am waiting and waiting for Sony to release C'mon Everybody, the only sigfificant Camden they overlooked in 2005. I wonder if they ever will, along with the handful of Soundtrack CDs they also overlooked since 2005.

Hello, this product is an horrendous anachronism. Strictly for sentimentalists and nostalgists, Elvis's back catalogue has moved on light years from this desperate level. Please tell me it's not a legitimate Sony BMG release...

Jamie, it's NOT a Sony BMG release, and even if it were, it wouldn't still be the end of the world you know. Always El.

Thanks Benny - I did strongly imply this release signified the end of the world so it was good to have that point clarified.

The original "I Got Lucky" LP brings back great memories for me, at the time it was a cheap way of picking up long deleted EP tracks. Looking again at the track listing, apart from one obvious exception, I still find them all very enjoyable songs. "Yoga Is As Yoga Does" stands out like a sore thumb, it is one of the few Elvis songs I always skip!
