It's a great pity such a useful book for collectors is being given such a narrow distribution. These authors work for years on books such as these. I'm sure if Amazon was involved they would sell a lot more copies.

Fully agree with Buff-horn. Shortsighted (it seems) authors and publishers I'd say. Too bad for fans that wanna keep track

My point about this book, and many others, is that whilst the fans who read this website will keep their ears to the ground & know what is available, the general public will never know about worthwhile books such as this. I am aware that Amazon will take a cut – that is how they make a living.. but most authors will sell enough extra books that way to still make more of a profit than selling them privately. It's worth pointing out that the recent "EPs Graceland" by Joe Pirzada was widely reported on all the Elvis sites as not being available on Amazon, which was totally inaccurate. I never noticed any retraction on this inaccurate report. Instead everyone was urged to buy it from Elvis sites favoured on the internet - which is a good example of the sort of exclusivity that I wrote about.

There is also the minor matter that with Amazon you get free postage!! Of course some pedantic people may not want to save a fiver, but like most other Elvis fans, I do!

This is a very limited print run.The subject as others have mentioned is very specialist and would be of no interest to Amazon. If you have an interest in Elvis on HMV you will want this book a fiver postage is not something to get het up about when you are looking through this superb volume and realising what you didn't know about the HMV releases. This is the culmination of Alan's lifetime of work and his expertise in this subject is unsurpassed. Serious about HMV, buy it. It is a wonderful book
