A note of interest is that Elvis makes his first chart appearance on the main Billboard 200 in over a year, with the last chart appearance being "Elvis By the Presley's" which peaked at #15. Besides that het has 3 Christmas titles on the Top Holiday Album Chart.

Elvis Presley is the only artist to have more than 100 chart entries on The Billboard 200, and he increases his total this week with his 109th title to appear on this list. "Elvis Christmas" (RCA) debuts at No. 200, extending the King's album chart span to 50 years and eight months.

Since the calendar rolled over to 2000, Presley has had 10 albums debut on the chart. That compares to the previous 10 albums, which debuted between 1985-1999.

Very nice to learn that Elvis is the only artist to have 109 albums in the Billboard 200. Only a star who has longevity and staying power could achieve such a feat spreaded over 50 years . Truly remarkable. I have to congratulate BMG / RCA for keeping Elvis's music alive with all these releases which somehow managed to have a chart life (of course helped by Elvis's great voice and charisma). I think its unfair to criticise BMG for releasing the same material over and over again. What can they do ? Elvis has been dead for the last 29 years so they have to milk the same cow. What matters is these albums have managed to have a chart life and kept Elvis's music alive for the past so many years. Personally I have always been in support of releasing remixes but it is very important to have these albums to cater for those who enjoy Elvis's original music.
