Shame on MGM if they decide to release this great Elvis film in the dreaded 4:3 format. I NEVER owned his films on VHS for the sole reason of them not being released in their proper aspect ratio. Of course this was the norm to almost all films on VHS. When DVD made its debut, besides the much better picture and sound, the one reason I started a DVD collection (I own over 650 titles!) was the way films were presented i.e. in their original WideScreen (where appropriate) format. I will definitely NOT purchase this film if MGM go ahead with a 4:3 release. The same goes for the other MGM titles currently announced to be released soon. I urge all fans to email MGM about this. I just did.

Re: Comments by MV. I've already spoken to both MGM & Warner in the UK. They have no plans to release this movie. In fact, MGM who released the other 3 UA titles do not apparently have the rights to this film for the UK. I've e-mailed MGM in the states informing them that a cinemascope print must be available. Maybe we should bombard them with e-mails!!

MGM should be ashamed of themselves if this film really isn't in the correct letterbox format. Kid Galahad and several Paramount films have had their top and bottom cropped to accomadate the 16:9 TV ratio. This is just about excusable,as it allows the film to be enhanced for widescreen tv sets. There is however, no excuse for not releasing Follow that Dream in its full format. This wasn't suppose to happen with DVD. There's still 2 months maybe they will realise their mistake.

This is ectually the first Elvis-film cover that I like... I hope they release it soon on region 2 too. BTW, the covers of Viva LAs Vegas and Jailhouse Rock were also good ones, but not released on region 2 so far.

Brilliant cover!! Brilliant underated film. Shame that it's not going to be shown in widescreen - just pan and scan. I have it on laserdisc. Superb. Bombard MGM with your complaints.

What? How come its only english, french and spanish subtitles? What about the rest of the world? Every single DVD I have viewed so far, including all Elvis-movies, has had norwegian subtitles too (my language), as well as most other western languages. Furthermore, I'd expect more from a collectors release. What about movie outtakes, bloppers, etc? Disappointing!
