Elvis has become the first act to score 50 Top Ten UK albums after new compilation The Nations’s Favourite Elvis Songs charted yesterday at number 7.

It would be nice if Elvis got to #1 with this release, but it will be tough with new releases from Lady Gaga ,and the Beatles coming out tomorrow. Still, another top ten album is great news. Incidentally, I ordered my copy - the 2 disc version - from Amazon UK a couple of weeks ago and it arrived last week. I guess it counted in the chart placing.

Well done Brian, always with the facts at your fingertips & useful lists. It's also worth mentioning that on the "Amazon Best Sellers in Rock", with 9 days in the top 100, the Double album is currently at number Two! ('Now that's what I call Music-86' is at number 1, & 'Andre Rieu' is number 3!) Pretty good news!

Yes you are a veritable source of knowledge Brian and much appreciated by me. My take is slightly different to many on here. I am just happy he is mentioned, or alluded to in many ways every month (perhaps some not so acceptable). This to me is incredible being 37 years after his passing, and if we occasionally see a fleeting success like this album that impacts the consciousness of the general public then I am more than satisified. Regardless of this, nothing anyone says or thinks will take away the continual enjoyment I receive from his music.
