OK once and for all well someone tell me why, differt places such as onlne sites have differt dates for these being released? every regular release has same release date no matter what website you go to but when it comes to ftd's its become a guessing game of when they will actually have it,some places say 16th some places say 24th,so if there shipped at same time why do places in the same country get them at differt times?

Probably the dates being given are when the particular supplier expects to have the release rather than the release date. They probably want you to expect them when they will have them and not before. Not everyone buys direct from FTD. The release date of FTD is not exact as FTD release when they have the product ready. This is different to normal record company releases which are usually in stock well before the planned release date.

cannot wait to get 50 million elvis fans can't be wrong rissue,as i love hearing outtakes and studio banter, and the f.t.d. release looks to have loads of studio takes-in fact, the complete 1958 rca recording session!-well worth the asking price, especially since your getting two cd's for the price of one..fans cannot complain at that(mind you, some will moan no matter what is released)..you cannot please everyone..all in all,i am looking foward to recieving my deluxe cd's from the excellant 'now dig this' magazine.

i just recieved my copy of this sepurb f.t.d. two cd set from the excellant 'now dig this' magazine and i was well happy!-great booklet with good pics of the king and what can i say about the "outtakes" on the ntwo cd's?;mind blowing stuff man!-you get the real feeling of being in the rca studio in 1958 with elvis, the complete recording session..immensaly enjoyable and a real treat for any elvis fan and even if you already own the previous rca/bmg cd,you must rush out and purchase this far better rca/ftd version. 10 out of 10.

What ever you do, stay away from elvis.com i tryed one last time to order mine from there, but today again i got very damaged items, my book look like it had been kicked around, the book had severe damage and yet again came in a box with nothing at all around to protect it, there customer service is a joke, and they act like shipping your items with any type of padding is asking to much, they may have the cheapes prices here in usa but there service is a complete joke, anyone else had this happen, ill now look elsewere to find my items, and if i cant find them at a decent price then ill just skip them, expecially the books which are always over $100 at the sites were i buy other music! alot of usa fans have this same problems as far as the prices go and some of the overseas seller wont shiop the books over here and in most cases the postage(not there fault) is way too expensive,i am not the only fan with these fellings,as for these releases my fav is an american trilogy!

mature: Your name must be on a list of Elvis fans they don't like. I order all my FTDs from elvis.com. I've never had a problem. Nor have I ever received damaged merchandise. Just lucky I guess. The problem with ordering elsewhere is that "elsewhere" usually uses PayPal. I've had nothing but problems with them. I'll stick with with the girl I brought to the dance.

that is why i always purchase my f.t.d. dream cd's from british fan clubs..one:cheaper and two;quick on delivery!-'now dig this' are by-far the most value for money and they always send it the same day that they recieve the order-(i ordered both 50 million elvis fans and american trilogy and recieved the cd's the very next day..thats what i call "customer service")even,amazone.co.uk are not as good, thet charge at-leaast £2.00 more per album(postage+packing)..i only order item's from them if i am after an elvis cd thats only available in the usa,i.e.lets be friends, elvis sings flaming star, you'll never walk alone, etc, etc, but you have to wait at least 3-4 weeks for the items to arrive.

Guys, you may like to try 'The Elvis Shop' run by Chris Giles. Delivery is always fast, packing excellent and currently there is a promotion on FTD's with free postcards. Of course this is the Chris Giles who has acknowledgements on most of the classic album series for photos, memorabilia etc. I believe his prices are competitive and his stock mind blowing. I would agree that Chris Giles is a good source of Elvis goods. He offers a good price, good service, and is a nice guy.
