A Little Less Tony Christy?

April 27, 2005 | Music
Elvis Presley is set to knock Tony Christie and Peter Kay’s ‘Amarillo’ off the top spot with the ultimate single in the King’s re-issue series according to midweek sales figures. The re-issue of "A Little Less Conversation" currently has a 40% sales advantage over the charity hit, reports chartsingles.net.

However, the Comic Relief track has been down on midweek sales weeks gone by and has managed to pull sales around by the end of the week. Elsewhere, The Tears are vying for a top five slot this week with ‘Refugees’ and Snoop Dogg is set to get his biggest British chart hit yet with his Justin Timberlake collaboration ‘Signs’.

It's not that imnportant is it? It's not even a genuine Elvis song anymore so the critics probably will give credits to Junkie XL were Elvis couldn't manage a number 1 on his own anymore the last couple of issues.

A little Less Conversation, I think didn't get great promotion back in the late sixties. Even though it has been updated with the techno stuff. It retains the same feel. The original version from the actual single master by the japanese 10 cd box set is just briiliant.
