For sale on eBay for a starting bid of 100,000 $US is a colour 8mm movie of Elvis rehearsing for Milton Berle show on the Aircraft carrier Hancock, April 03, 1956. The description reads: "Only known private movie in color. No sound." No duration is mentioned. How interesting, it never ceases to amaze me how many new things emerge after so many years. I wonder what the running time is?

Yes and it looks pretty clear. No way at that price however. Hey instead of all the unnecessary reissues of greatest hits, love songs, gospel, Christmas , etc how about a fresh new project to release all the black & white TV footage colorized? That would be great. And King Creole & Love Me Tender also!

that would be great Steve V.

I'm with you Steve (although King Creole probably looks best in B&W, I'd still love to see a color version)

Hi guys, I have both Love Me Tender and King Creole in colourized version. Not bad and something different for a change. But believe me or not, I still prefer the black/white originals. As for the 1956 video for sale : it all depends a bit on the running time .If one has to pay such a high price for a (maybe) very short fragment then the question is : is it worth it's price ? There's no sound, but at least, being filmed in genuine 8mm, you have and see the true colours ! Always El.

Benny - I would prob always prefer to watch the orig black & white versions. I throw the VHS color Jailhouse Rock in once a while for kicks. Where did you get Love Me Tender and Creole in color? I dont believe I ever saw them for sale in the USA.

Hi Steve, there was a concert here in Belgium ( city of Antwerp) +/- 2 or 3 years ago with the TCB band and Terry Mike Jeffrey as leadsinger .The concert was organized by a Belgian fanclub and I had tickets for the event. Before, during the break, and after the concert you could buy Elvis merchandise . That's were I had the chance to buy those 2 DVDs. I must say that since then I was at a couple of other concerts with the TCB band here in Belgium, but I never saw those DVDs for sale again. Guess I was just lucky that night. Always El.

I think Ted Turner had something to do with the colourising of "L M Tender" & "King Creole" but I've never seen decent quality copies for sale.
