Elvis Fan Club To Play Devil's Advocate

If Elvis fans are encouraged to vote for Priscilla Presley on Dancing With The Stars, surely that must be cheating?

Tonight, UK viewers will get the chance to see Dancing With The Stars, the US version of Strictly Come Dancing. Unless you have been on the moon the last few weeks, everyone is more than aware that Priscilla Presley is taking to the dance floor in the latest series, which was aired in the USA on Monday night and is shown on UK TV Gold from March 21st.

According to press reports, Priscilla is already doing very well, with straight eights we hear, so why has a campaign started encouraging all Elvis fans to vote to keep Priscilla in?

The UK fan club thinks it's cheating. Come on now. Win because you’re the best dancer, and proud of it, not because Elvis fans have swung the vote!

So, in the true spirit of Colonel Parker and one of his first Elvis Presley Enterprises gimmicks of the fifties – the I Hate Elvis / I Love Elvis buttons – we want to balance things out.

50 million Elvis Fans Can’t Be Wrong…. Or can they?

Just because they are encouraged to vote for her, what makes anyone think they are. I for one am not.

Give me a break! I can't believe what I just read. Do you think for one moment that people don't call in to vote for their favorites, regardless of whether they are good or not! That plain fact of life being said, some of us happen to think she did a very good job. Actually, better than good. She came in 2nd. It was tough competition. I hope she can stay in for a few weeks. Not only did she do a super job, like many of them did that night, but she is the oldest person to ever compete on that show, so far. Outside of the fact that she has great talent & really put herself out there to win (it's called determination) she made a point she very much wanted to emphasize - that all women, especially "older" women can accomplish their goals if they just put their mind to it. And no one can or should stand in your way. This is about more than dancing. If you are very young, you won't get it. If you are over 40, you will!

It's just as we said then. If she is good, then she should stay in, fair and square. We should not swing the vote, just cos EPE tell us to. The words 'UK fan club' are nothing to do with us, its the press editing and they have used it as a generic term - anyway, there are gazillions of fan clubs on the internet. We always call ourselves Elvis.co.uk, nothing else.

Whatever Priscilla does, or Lisa Marie for that matter, is nothing more than fluff to fill in the holes on days without real Elvis news. Unless the aforementioned do something regarding Graceland or EPE, what do we care about the rest? How far of a stretch will we make to connect Elvis to a news story? Arthur C. Clarke dies. Come on, does that really have anything to do with Elvis? What's next? Are we going to read about the granddaughter of the guy that collected the trash at Graceland for the city of Memphis getting married? Please!

The only thing that she did worth anything was open Graceland, very smart move. Thats about all she is good for.

Mr. Elvis Aaron Presley does not need anything for to made money. This unnamed only made lies. I remember her words that I repeat againts her: "I do not want anybody own Elvis Aaron Presley The way these women did". And dear devon you write... your post is here but the society do not read and hear you.
