JimmyCool, I think you are being a bit harsh, I understand your sentiments, Yes it is the ''same ol' same ol''-Fair Comment, You can't call it 'crap' though, It is Elvis! TCB.

I'm not calling Elvis "crap", I'm calling "crap" to the release of the same material over and over again... even LEGALLY this time! And I'm also calling "crap" to the responsible of this.

Lets face it folks. These releases will never end. There is no new material so they have to keep repackaging the old material in new ways. I'm oblivious to it by now.

STOP at these release! Who'll buy this junk???

Quite a clever move, sneak some official product into the pool of all these public domain releases that are cropping up everywhere. I guess they just want to find out how well they are actually selling.

I know where your coming from guy's but crap, junk and shit are not words i associate with Elvis material.

These releases should have some good material, just probably nothing that needs a re-release. But simply because it's Elvis doesn't mean it's good...there has been a lot of Elvis stuff over the years that could be considered crap, especially from the movie years...just because Elvis sang "Old MacDonald" or "Ito Eats" doesn't make it good...face it, it's crap, and the good stuff can be appreciated much more when you don't waste time trying to convince others that obvious crap is not crap. It only makes Elvis fans look stupid, draws attention to the substandard material and diminishes his reputation as an artist...

Let's all support and be delighted even more that FTD is around to give us 'new' material. Where would we be without Ernst & Roger???!!!

Very propably listening to Fort Baxter (and others) releases - which were bought at a reasonable price (not wayyy overpriced as with the FTD cd's!!!)

Do not agree with CCRider nor with Jimmy: we are beginning to wonder if Ernst & Roger are doing the right thing. They do NOT convince elvis fans nor BMG! We want more good stuff that we have been witing for for years now !! Why not listen to 450 thousand die-hard elvis fans who b u y almost everything but that is changing now. with the stupid marketing strategy behing those ridiculous budget CDs and nonsense releases. We need quality stuff te be released by BMG Denmark. And ifnot, let BMG Holland do the rest...we are sure that the Dutch can do a far better job than the Norwegians and English. And anyhow, Roger does not listen to Chris, Henrik, J-Marc, Jimmy, mature fans a.o. So, all we can hope for (unfortunately) are the danish "know-it-all-better" approach. how wrong can they be. Our recomms and serious successful, innovative suggestions don't mean a thing to BMG DK or EPE Mgmt. Ally how naive can you be brother? Elpete should be right except he never answers or comments the real issues !

I don't believe that the deluxe 7 inch editions of the FTD releases are overpriced. The list prices of regular record company released cds are $18.98...the FTDs are $10 more. For the regular release FTD cd, that's too much...but the deluxe 7 inch editions with booklets and in some cases an extra cd, it ISN'T overpriced. The days of $4.99 albums are over. Hopefully, the BMG official releases will put an end to those horrible copyright free cds. We should put our energies toward changing the copyright laws so such things don't happen.

Do not agree with Ron Baker at all!! From inside sources we know that BMG would only spend less than one dollar for the release of a CD of existing material, i.e. upgrading, adding or enhancing an existing CD but put it out on FTD label (no digi pack...) like EinPerson (28 songs!!) or EonStage (32 songs!!) or TTWII (only live renditions or full Vegas show as filmed by MGM)....If you offer a DVD with it, it would only cost one dollar more if they, BMG, sells to all die-hard thousands of fans that have been waiting for such material for y e a r sssss....Shall we repeat ourselves and talk again and again about the CD Box plus DVD of Elvis on Tour 72 (with DVD of those 12 concerts)?? Now then BMG and EPE will make profits! The rest is multinational blabla buddy; no disrespect.

With the European market now being flooded with these public domain releases of Elvis' early material I have no problem with Sony/BMG jumping in and getting a piece of the pie. Anton: What inside sources? And where do you come up with this figure of 450,000 die-hards who'll buy everything? Also, this DVD with 12 concerts filmed by MGM?? that you keep harping on. Ain't gonna happen. If you're going to ask for something at least be realistic.

I had no idea they taped 12 shows? and if they did youll do good to see one released,12? come on,lets live in reality!

Anton - 12 shows? Where do you get your facts from or do you just like to drive us nuts with your rants?

For the record, only 4 shows were filmed for "Elvis on tour". Also, I used to pay £15 for bootlegs 20 years ago when they were on vinyl, so the same price for an FTD 20 years later is quite reasonable when you think that some of these are double CD sets.

And of those 4,well be lucky if we get one complete concert released,12 or 4 its pretty much the same,hope im proven wrong!
