'King Creole' is one of Elvis' finest movies. He gives us one of his finest screen performances in this, darker, movie. Dolores Hart is one Elvis' prettiest leading ladies. And, the music is, mostly, great! The supporting actors are above par (Carolyn Jones, Walter Matthau, Dean Jagger, Vic Morrow). 'G.I. Blues' is a weak musical with some memorable tunes. The story takes place in Germany, but Elvis never left Hollywood for this production. This is the first movie where he is a babysitter (not a particularly funny scene). Most of the humour is lame.
