This Is Elvis: Special Edition
2.2 / 5
Released: 2007/08/07 by Warner Home Video
From executive producer and award-winning documentarian David L. Wolper (Roots, L.A. Confidential), This Is Elvis is an intimate, behind-the-scenes portrait crafted by Andrew Solt (Imagine: John Lennon) and Malcolm Leo (Rolling Stone: 20 Years of Rock ’n’ Roll). Elvis’ “authorized biography” draws on interviews with the people who knew Presley best – family, friends, employees and mentor/manager Colonel Tom Parker – and includes some rare, never before seen footage.

This was the pic used in the original posters for the movie...so nothing wrong there:infact one of the more appropriate covers on the series.I just wish they could have come up with a more attractive cover, for me the lettering is way too large, but then you cannot please everyone.

Dolby Surround 2.0 ? Even Gone with the wind is released with 5.1 sound. I can't believe this !

Only disc 1 (1981 version) is in 2.0 sound. Disc 2 (1983 version) is in 1.0 mono sound! Why, why, why Warner? Why not in 5.1 sound ? 2.0 is bad, and now we have the 1983 version in 1.0 MONO sound, terrible ! We live in 2007 !!

A special film but not a special edition - maybe 5th or 6th time of buying the release will improve over the original
