This movie is no good but the Soundtrack album (FTD) is superb.
Rating: 2 / 5

2 stars for the movie (I'm feeling generous). 4 stars for the expanded FTD soundtrack album. I'd have given it 5 stars IF they had taken the time to improve the sound on the original 11 album masters.

Bad Movie, bad songs, bad cover, bad acting, bad director all around zero. Colonel parker should have been fed to the sharks at this point.

Bad movie, acting, director, on that we agree. Bad songs? Nah. Love 'em. Bad cover?Nothing wrong with it. It portrays the movie setting/theme. You really must see a shrink about your cover thing.

what is needed here is the original hollywood movie poster as a cover it can grab you and take you in just like they used to at your local theatre

This film was dire, the storyline, acting and direction were at an all time low for a Presley movie and that is really saying something. I think that Elvis' lack lust performance on most of the soundtrack echoed the standard of songs at his disposal. I bought Harem Holiday as I did with every Elvis release from 1956 up to his untimely death in 1977 but I can only recall having played that album once, infact it is as new as the day I bought it.
Rating: 3 / 5

Yes this was one of the real Bad ones, but of course col. Parker (technical advisor) got his cut but sometimes i wonder if elvis had really gone on to be a serious actor (if someone had bumped off col. parker) we may have never gotten to see the return that may have never been in 1969 to what really ended it some time around the finish of the Hawaii special. because after that it really started to turn sour.
