Elvis visits the Grand Ole Opry once more in the company of Jordaniare Gordon Stoker. Earlier that day he took Elvis to a clothing store to purchase a tuxedo for the evening. Elvis spends the night backstage chatting with the performers, even making a brief appearance waving at the audience. This picture, also backstage at the Opry, shows us Elvis wearing his tuxedo, with next to him Colonel Parker and Governor Frank Clements of Tennessee. After leaving for Memphis Elvis would change in his old clothes and throw the tuxedo away…
Note: we're not completely sure if the picture fits the date, but it fits perfectly with the text ;-). Anyone?
