I like that one too. But, as a non english native the title is kinda misguiding, reading it I thought: Oh and now they come out with al the "White Christmas"-Duets they tried out...;-) Alternate "White Christmas"-Duets...that's one for next year though...! ;-)

It just isn't fair to make duets with dead people unless you're a direct relative, it just isn't fair..

A terrible mistake. Sounds like kareoke. The feeling is totally lost.

Agree with Ton, we'll also stick to originals ! and will NOT buy this CHRISTMAS DUETS album ! Want to DISAGREE with Lex & Lefty: if BMG wants to convince young/new EP fans, then they should NOT use those Dixie gals ... besides, those girls are NOT known anywhere else than in Dixie (NOT worldwide, although some have been on Larry's TV show...)It is another wrong marketing strategy. The upcoming very expensive box of 30 CDs at an absorbitantly high price of US$1,000....BMG will in our opinionNOT sell those 10,000 copies they plan to produce...so in low-sales Feb/March period of the year, Wal Mart and ALL other MUSIC stories in the world will have to DISCOUNT HEAVILY this Box ! Agree with Mature Pal that we do not intend to INSULT anyone here...just plain talk...not everything is fine or great. Circle G and we also still await from Jorgensen & Roger info re the next planned releases such as FTDdigis of GI B, BlueH, KCreole, Roust, KCousins, Speedway and again the long awaited Box 72 Tours!! as well as the PLAND, GTIMES, EPBLVD together with MBUE, NOW, FOOL and American Studios sessions (BMG should buy back master tapes with all those fab outtakes from bootleggers ) without FORGETTING the missing GuitarM, Monkey Buzz sessions and Down Alley, ComeWmay, etc etc from 67-68. ANY COMMENTS FROM YOU GUYS ??

Does anyone know if in the U.K. this label should still pay copyrights for such a release ? We think though that such a release misses the whole point (not being different from other mainstream releases for Xmas season).... We would buy such a CD if it would contain ALSO those alternative versions of some of the Xmas songs as a BONUS for fans ...but we don't know. Can anyone let us know the tracklisting ? Meanwhile, we are somewhat disappointed no-one has picked up on our great idea & request for BMG to release on FTD those fabubous & historical 67 & 68 studio sessions...We are sure that many fans like Gene, Mike, Steve, MaturePal, Jerry, Ron and many others will dig this idea. One more thing: this album mentions Elvis' FIRST duets album...Did you guys pick up on this ??

What do you mean, do they still pay copyright? It's a Sony BMG release! As for outtakes: the 1957 Christmas outtakes have never been found and we've had outtakes from the 1971 Christmas album on various releases over the years. The track listing for thisi new 'duets' CD is all over the Internet. As for your other ideas: it's obvious that FTD will eventually get around to all of the things you mention. It's just a matter of time. They can't do everything at once.

Josh & Judy - The album mentions its Elvis' first 'ever' duets album because it is! What point are you trying to make or dare I ask?

I think you'll be waiting a long time for a reply, Steve V. Josh & Jody appear to have been at the moonshine. (Does one of them look incredibly like Lance LeGault?)

Jody & Josh are there relly two? Or is it just one person? Why is he or are they so interested in coptrights? Is it his or theit intention to drive Steve V. insane? These questions must be asked. More importantly why do I care?

Thanks for your "positive comments" and above all for sharing your ideas with all of us, Harvey. We do however disagree with you. Yes, FTD will eventually get around to release (we do hope so) all missing & remaining materials that we are anxiously waiting for, for so long now. But, we feel that the marketing strategy applied is wrong. They have gotten their prioirties wrong. Let us explain (and want to know many fans' opinion): why did they release digipacks of TickleMe, EcEgo WiC a.o. BEFORE major (and good sellers like complete+outts of KCreole or GI B & BHaw on digipack; or those complete w/outt of AmStudios, GuitarM sessions or the EonTour72 Box) ??You see clearly that they are spinning around and have no clear, professional strategy in place. We do however invite Harvey, Scudder and many more to send in from now on their positive and constructive ideas/sugg/recomms without insulting loyal life-long fans (it also bothers all mature and educated fans, like us...and many more.
