Rock A Hula Baby is #1 on this weeks MRIB (Market Research Information Bureau) chart - this is the chart used by most of the Sunday newspapers :-)

We`re usually top on Sat morning, then get cheated out of it by end of the day, so not being NO.1 on Sat morning, like last week, prob means we`ll be NO.3. i`m SOOOO desperate for even just one more, but i can`t see where!

why is rock-a-hula baby the A side i thought Can't Help Falling in love would be. Can anyone tell me where i can get a good version of Elvis singing You Can Have her(i have a poor version of an audiance recording and it is too bad what a great version). Finally do we have a release date on Legendary Performer Vol.5 yet? have a great weekend all

mtm1a - you can't see where? Return to Sender, The Wonder of You and (maybe) ALLC. Just my two cents 8-)

rock a hula single 4 available at tesco extra swansea. Elvis On Tour rocks and should be available on dvd with remastered picture and sound.

mtm1a, ALLC has the best chance of going to #1 again as it will probably get airplay which the others have yet to receive, and as a former #1 in 2002 will probably attract younger fans which the others may not. FTD 44, Rock A Hula Baby is the A-Side as it was a 4 week double A-Sided #1 in the UK in 1961 (just check out the liner notes for 30 #1 Hits). As a result, tomorrow it should register as a double A-Side just like 'ON/IGS'. As for me I will be happy with a Top 3 placing tomorrow, I would think it highly unlikely to be a lower placing. Long Live The King!

it really has nothing to do with where we can see another # 1 coming from. It has NOTHING to do with the song released. It has to do with how few the other releases sell. the Elvis single can all sell between 25-30k if there are enough copies available. But if any newer act has a relase on that week , then there is not chance for us. Songs like Wonder of you are wonderful and it is maybe his most popular in the UK. But do we know yet who else will release singles the same week that it comes out ?

Get Real, You are right. Remember these singles are limited. The other contenders singles arn't. Anyting with sales over 30000 will beat Elvis.

The last 3 singles won't have a chance to reach the top 3, cause from april 10th on, the downloads will be added to the sales charts. it's dissapointing.. but that's the way it is!

Get real, these are some of the competition over the next few weeks; 14/3 - GreenDay, Gwen Stefani, G4, Fatboy Slim, Eric Prydz. 21/3 - Natalie Imbruglia, Will Smith, Mario. 28/3 - Kylie, Rachel Stevens, Avril Lavigne, Hanson, Estelle. 4/4 - Natasha Beddingfield, Mel C, Anastacia. Razorlight, Crazy Frog Chorus!! 11/4 (Wonder of You) - Delta Goodrem, Ciara, Maroon 5. I haven't heard most of these yet, so don't know how good they are, but I know my children will want me to buy the Crazy Frog Chorus!!

get real: yes you are right. It's a damned shame that the singles are in such limited availability, and receive virtually zero airplay. I've heard most of the singles played ONCE on Jeremy Vine's show (Radio 2), bu that's it. I've never seen any of the singles in my local Virgin store, (Reading). Maybe the Irish phenomenon will cross the waters to the UK, and we'll see some re-entries - (but only if the shops decide to stock up) - ???

Like i`ve said before, our chart position depends on other releases, and our issue amounts,it has nothing to do with one King`s song being better than another.Rock-A-Hula is very catchy, and the general public,i`m sure, would`ve been humming it for days...if they`d gotten the chance to hear it!
mtm1a wrote on March 06, 2005
me again! Just a thought,i`m sure this site has given the `official` chart positions by this time on a sunday previously.Does anyone think because it hasn`t that it`s because it`s very close, sales are being double checked, and we may sneak it?
