Great news. I can use the tin to put worms in when I go fishing.

For months I have been wondering what to give to my stephmother for a Christmas gift and finally I have found it! She will probably like the mixture of 50's recordings from the Sun and some Christmas songs to justify this a Christmas release. The tin can will be a nice addition next to Spancocks Christmas release underneath the tree..

My question is, why do these unknown labels seem to only have this picture or maybe that photo from "It Happened At The World's Fair" that's often used or the one from "King Creole" that's usually reversed? The photo above has been milked as much as the word "Ultimate" has been used, let alone the track listing rehashed. I thought the original "Ultimate" release was THE final say, the creme of the crop, the Final release, the big cheese, the top dog, the head honcho, the one release that epitomizes every other release that could be released. Then a month later a new "Ultimate" pops up. I think these guys need to look deeper & find a fresh photo rarely seen instead of sticking this same pic on every cover. Get more creative. Also find another word besides "Ultimate" to slap on the title of the cover. It's rather comical to see these releases.

Of Course K Tel is a known label, but most of these labels aren't. But still, why does K Tel use the SAME picture that every other label has milked to death? Surely these guys can come up with a fresh, different photo for a change. I hope the copyright laws are changed so that the rest of Presley's recordings & other recording artist's music won't be milked to death like Elvis' 50's recordings are now. It's really cheapened them. Thankfully my wallet is closed to them.

When K-Tel was issuing LPs in the 70's & 80's they basically used the same few photos over & over. Just a cheap label. Too bad they got involved with Elvis. The music didnt deserve to be cheapened this way.
