Two New Books

February 05, 2001 | Book
On February 13 "Elvis and Nixon" will be issued. It is fiction based upon the well-known meeting between The King and the president. When reading the introduction of the book it seems that the writer, Jonathan Lowy, is sketching the stereotype drugged, fat, bloated Elvis. Also Nixon is described in a contemptuous way, representing evil. We guess we'll stick with the facts.

In May "Colonel Tom Parker: The Curious Life Of Elvis Presley´s Eccentric Manager" by James L Dickerson will be released. Dickerson is known for "Goin Back To Memphis: A Century Of Blues, Rock 'n' Roll, And Glorious Soul" and "That's Alright, Elvis : The Untold Story Of Elvis' First Guitarist And Manager , Scotty Moore".
