Harvey - Taylor Swift is huge in the States. A young country female (18 yrs old) artist that constantly crosses over. Also graces a lot og mag covers. I think she may have the #1 CD on Billboard right now. Im actually shocked Sony/BMG didnt cash in on her for the Duets CD. I dont know who T.I is though.

There are four acts on this list I've never heard of before! Who is Taylor Swift and is Wayne really Little? On second thoughts, don't tell me. I don't want to know. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

Well, what I don't understand about this TOP 20 is that 5 performers/groups have sold 1.4 million albums each - so, they should actually all share the no. 13 spot. Yet, Elvis is no. 16 and the Beatles are no. 17. The same goes for nos. 18-20 who have each sold 1.3 million albums. So, is Elvis actually at no. 13, together with 4 other performers/groups?

In reply to my own post below: This puzzled me so much that I had to do a quick research. "Thriller" was released in a special two disc edition this year, and Motown has released an anniversary compilation. That explains alot. :)

In my opinion the biggest surprise on this list was Michael Jackson. I can't understand that he sell that much today. He's only released a very few number of albums over the years and it's been ages since he released anything at all. It just It doesnt make sense...

Strange to get a year 2008 ranking when the year is not over yet ! Good to see Elvis in the TOP 20 ; not bad for a man gone 30 + years ago , isn't it ? Where do the end of year sales go ?
