Too Much Monkey Business Released

November 24, 2000 | Music
The first "in-between" release on the Follow That Dream label has been released. This CD with remixed Elvis-tracks is received both positive and negative. Guess you have to like the idea and sound of remixed Elvis songs.

The most radical change is "I'll Be There", which is quite different in feel and tempo, and is now eighties pop. "If You Talk In Your Sleep" now almost sounds like a late night blues. And "Blue Suede Shoes" sounds like the live version from 1969 (the vocal track), although Ernst said earlier that it's the MSG '72 version .

The new and unreleased tracks such as "Burning Love", "I'll Be There", "In The Ghetto" are not too good. According to this reaction the worst track of this CD has been saved for the last, and that is a live version of "Blue Suede Shoes" with a new overdub. The only plus is the great picture on the frontcover ... We'll add a review pretty soon.
