Early this summer we announced that we would stop our site ElvisNews.com. Due to the overwhelming number of requests to continue we decided to do so.
We've run this site for ten years, most of that time with a lot of pleasure, but what started as a hobby became too much a day-to-day job for me, taking time from other hobbies. Therefor I decided to stop as editor of this site.
Originally the plan was to stop the whole thing if either one of us would make this decision, but after a long hot winter evening Loes and Lex decided to give the site another chance. They will try to provide the same service as you're used too.
I want to thank Lex and Loes for the Good Times, all the friends I made through this site and all those who contributed to the site or just visited it, making this site what it is today. It wouldn't have been the same without you.
I wish both Loes and Lex all the luck in the world to continue the site (any help with articles and reviews, especially by regular contributors would be great).
In the words of Ed Sullivan, "keep visiting this site, Lex and Loes needs the hits" :-)

Always liked this site very much (and still do) considering it one of the best sites to get any updates about what's happening in the 'Elvis-World' and being informed on new releases and reviews ot whatsoever. I had my own website a couple of years ago and I know it is a lot of work to keep it frequently updated. Thanks a lot for your work and good luck Kees.!

I think the huge reaction you guys got when you were about to pull the plug on the site shows how much pleasure it gives to us fans out here and how worthwhile and appreciated all your hard work has been. Sure we all have jobs and families and other interests that take up our time but Elvisnews is the one place where the Elvis fan inside of us can call home. It's the Graceland of Elvis websites and I for one thank you for everything you have done to give likeminded people out here in cyberspace somewhere to rest for a while, put our feet up and enjoy the news, views and, yes, even the opinions - good and bad and immerse ourselves in our mutual indulgence of the life and music of Elvis Presley. Happy New Year and best wishes to you for the future, to Lex and Loes for bravely keeping the flaf flying and to all the many people who visit this wonmderful, wonderful website.

Kees, as one of the founders of this great site you have done so much good to the Elvis world. I am sure we can rest asure that you leave the work in the capable hands of Lex and Loesje, but still I might voice thoughts of people that we hope you will continue to contribute with valuable reviews etc. The work going from 3 to 2 will be an uphill task for Lex and Loesje, so I also wish them well too!
