There's A Sweet Spirit In This Place

September 23, 2018 | Music

So now for the first time ever - in excellent audience recorded sound, and complete from beginning to the end! The show is a true delight - Elvis is in a relaxed mood, singing remarkably well... Best show & best sound of the season!

This release is presented in a de-luxe 6-panel digipak with a collection of photos taken in Lake Tahoe, May 1976 as well as an original pre-season promotional article.

There is a so-called May 4th, 1976 D/S in circulation, but it presents only half of the show in average sound. It was even spliced with about 30 minutes of May 2nd, 1976 D/S!

I always had a faible for Tahoe shows, no matter when they happened. Elvis was always better in Tahoe than the same year in Vegas and this concert is no exception. Elvis tries hard and his crowd was pleased. Good setlist ! Like it.
