The Wonder Of Tony Christy

As the 18 week UK singles releases draw to an end, Elvis Presley' latest single re-issue single "The Wonder of You" entered the independent CD-UK charts at #2 this week. Old time Tony Christy remains the UK's #1. The Official UK chart is not announced until tomorrow (Sunday 17th) and with downloads now being counted, some critics predict Elvis will fail to enter the top 10 for the first time since the releases started 3 months ago. 01 - (Is This The Way To) Amarillo - Tony Christie Ft. Peter Kay 02 - The Wonder of You - Elvis Presley 03 - Somewhere Else - Razorlight 04 - 1,2 Step - Ciara ft Missy Elliot 05 - Let Me Love You - Mario

Fans need to emember to download Way Down this week from officially counting sources eg Virgin nd others .Check it is the single version by looking for the cover art for the single and the same tracklisting. They are so much cheaper than the discs that fans could quadruple the sales figures for the same price as a single disc.It would be great to see WD at no.1 publicising a lesser known no.1 and promoting a funkier 1970s Elvis track.Dig it

The Wonder of You has only got to number 4 on the offical UK charts this week, the download charts have had their effect. I am glad it has got into the top ten. We will all have to download Way Down as well as buying the single, download it everyone just once we can do better. But well done to the King for another top ten hit!

Yeah there's no doubt the Amabrillo song is starting to nauseate big time.I cringe at the truly awful video.I've asked my local gypsy to place a curse on Peter Kay,failing that i'll turn to voodoo to make him suffer.

Eagleone come down to land mate, the wonder of you really IS a great song, and this version is the better of the versions Elvis recorded that I have heard. It will be a shame If Tony Christie / Peter Kay are yet again nmber 1 as It is getting really boring to have that song at number 1 still. I am now agreeing with those who wrote previously that the charity aspect (and Peter Kay's comic video obviously) keep It at number 1.

of all the songs to reach number 1 this song is the least of the best . Number 2 is ok for me

Well it looks like the Amadildo song is once again keeping the KING from being #1.With the new Oasis single, which is pretty good(yeah, they are rock'n'roll man}, not released till 16 May lets hope Way Down and ALLC can go all the way to #1.Just one more #1 and i'll sleep easy man....

All the time I have been going round I have never seen a Tony Christie disc moving off the shelf. Must be 1000's downloading just to keep our boy down. But we know that Elvis is No. 1 whatever happens. Was Tony Christie a 1 hit wonder

No doubt these `critics` will site the campaign as a failure if our last 3 now miss out on top10. I can`t stand these people! NO.1 or NO.100,Elvis was,is,and always will be The King of Music no matter what anyone says! TCB
