In spite of it's top quality audio, I didn't like the Fort Worth show. Elvis just could't fire under the afternoon 'cloud'. Too groggy for me. As for the Memphis concert 2 nights later, I reckon that at least all 3 bootlegged Memphis concerts should appear on a box set, whether thru FTD or maybe Sony/Legacy.

Well so far FTD represented the June/July 76 tour with a nice quality July 3rd far..... at least this release is best one of the 3 from 1976 we are getting. 2 x (apart from few Anaheim tracks) unreleased soundboard show that nicely represent this tour. and until we get something from Vegas in December...just maybe best we are going to get close to Vegas season.Anaheim show is excellent and the San Fran one 'ok' so thanks in advance FTD i will be enjoying these 2

I really enjoy the bootleg of the San Francisco show. I went by the Cow Palace the last time I was in San Fran just to say I was there and to think about Elvis playing there.

MemphisFan, I hope they do release an official version of the last Memphis show. I have enjoyed the bootleg of that show since it came out. It was my first 1976 boot and have enjoyed it considerably.

And speaking of a "very last time"... We can probably look for FTD to issue Elvis' very last live performance in Memphis from July 5, 1976 (sometime this coming spring or summer). Due to the length of the show it will call for 2 discs (just like the bootlegs) and will hopefully contain some bonus tracks from that tour of June 25 - July 5.

Anaheim is the very last time Elvis performed in California. By all accounts, it was a great tour. Elvis had trimmed down quite a bit, and his spirits were bolstered by the presence of his new girlfriend, Ginger. A review from the Anaheim Bulletin said, "Was Elvis in good form? Yes, as always. Voice powerful, sensuous. Expressions happy, teasing, confident." I have just about sworn off buying more soundboards, but I will make an exception here. I lived in Southern California in 1976, not far from Anaheim. For posterity sake, it would be fun to have this show. As for the the artwork, I think FTD strives to make their albums look like bootlegs just as hard as the bootleggers try to make their albums look official.

Great album cover. LOVE the photo.

Not such a bad cover, though I have seen better ones but also many more even worse. Anyway, this is Elvis at the time and they had the choice: to put the text over his hair or at the bottom just covering his suit. This is the better choice. Best wishes for a happy new year to all!

Finally there's a concert coming that I don't already have on bootleg. I'll definately will buy it.

On 2nd thoughts I don't think the sound will be too bad. I don't have 'West Texas' or 'Double Date' yet but I believe we won't have Lene Reidel to worry about since she hasn't worked on an SB since 'Another Saturday Night' in 2012. I heard that the sound on the Huntsville '76 E/S is an improvement from the boot and the same goes for 'On Stage Season', 'Return to Vegas' among others. Even the Florida CD exceeded my expectations, so I think the audio results should at least reasonably satisfy.

In my opinion I think this is a nice additions to my collection. This is the first release ever of the 30th of November show, and it's nice to finallye have the show from the 28th officially released. I am satisfied with the layout, FTD have their style, Easy as that. Ernst and Roger: Thank you for your work and dedication to Elvis' legacy! Please do not stop yet! Keep'em coming!

Maybe the photographer held something for the lens?

ok we could have done without the "elvis" on top but overall i like it : neat, nice profile shot & not sweatin. now, for those askin why the shadow behind the title i guess this is 1) to be able to read the title & 2) not to c his royal underarm. cheers

...alas the last part of the 1st show wasn't recorded which leaves out the Mystery Train/Tiger Man of my favourites !!

Yeah !! not much thought has gone into the presentation here. The font of ELVIS looks pretty bland. There are also much better shots of him from Anaheim available for use too. Tracks from the latter show were used for the Minnesota Moment CD and also the San Francisco concert from November 28 were released on bootleg. The SB mixes here get a bit messy with the piano being too upfront, which is why I'll approach this with caution and wait until the reviews come in. Still we haven't heard the gig from the 29th yet apart from the bootlegged AR where Elvis sounds like he's in top gear. Anyway it's good that we're starting to get some new tours represented. Can anyone tell me what the TBC abbreviations stand for ??

~ I seriously think the photo is supposed to insinuate that Elvis is looking westward toward the "west coast". Too bad the shadow spoils the cover photo. They could have cropped the bottom part off completely and had the title in slightly smaller letters above Elvis' head.
~ This tour consisted of . . .
Reno Nevada on 24 November
Eugene Oregon on 25 Nov.
Portland Oregon on 26 Nov.
Eugene Oregon again on 27 Nov.
San Francisco California on 28 & 29 Nov.
Anaheim California on 30 Nov.
~ Just 2 days later Elvis was back in Las Vegas opening (what would be) his final season there.

I agree with schemies. This looks like a very amateurish design. What's with the ugly black shadow behind the "st coast tour '76" title? Why don't they hire better people to make the covers? I'm sure a lot of us Elvis fans could come up with something more visually decent. FTD needs to learn from Gravel Road Music and Straight Arrow. Their designers are top notch!
