I'm looking forward to this one. Something from the 50s at last..I hope we get some unreleased stuff.

All is already out officially....so my guess....C-R-A-P
Steve V wrote on November 30, 2008
Hmm - skeptical. I havent heard of any newly discovered outtakes from King Creole. I tend to agree with Ciscoking on this one but I hope I am wrong.

I will be very surprised if this contains anything that we do not already own. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I love the cover! About the content... I'm sure we have it all (50's Box, Essential Elvis Vol.3, etc.)

Ciscoking, do you have anything better to say than C-R-A-P??????
Jesse Garon Presley wrote on December 01, 2008
it is ciscoking's favorite outing i guess. i read that c.r.a.p expression too many times, now that is getting boring. just u wait and see what this release is about, and then give your opinion, not before it's out, cause u have no idea beforehand

You see now Steve, Greg, Natha, Benny and all others who thought it was not interesting to release those missing KCreole outtakes... Well here you go, folks! You've all been proven wrong as so many times before. Now let's see the content...that's another story. Now that we are Dec, isn't it fair that FTD lets us know their 2009 planning for FTD releases (the rest I don't care about... Duets & remixes for the young...) will buy this one but at the same time am wondering where those overgue outtakes are ofDown i/Alley, Charlie's Blues, CWMay, BBMan (my favorite), BLove, Prom Land, Don't think2x (long 8 minutes fantastic version). If they don't want us to buy more boots, then we expect FTD to come out soon with the good stuff. That is a far better approach than forbidding people to buy it from other labels. As I already have several shows on other labels I still will buy the FTD In Person one...great stuff but more stuff should have been added to it, as bonus songs. I could think of Matter of time, MempTN, More, I walk the line, Folsom Blues, Loving you; songs that were sung by our King in those days only once and available on private tapes all over...great renderings of those versions and in good quality, although audience tapes which could be easily restored to make them sound great. Will buy Nevada Nights and look forward to many more FTDs of all those missing studio and movie session outtakes. Mr Jorgensen: Do you read those comments of ours? Why not give an interview with lots of your planned released or ideas? We have a long list of questions which need to be answered soon. I think you owe that to us, loyal buying EPmaterial buyers and EPfans for years!

What a nice artwork!

BBman - how the heck are we proven wrong? Unless this contains new material this stuff has already been available on legit RCA releases. Plus this is a bootleg which cant sell the millions you always talk about. I don't get your point at all.

BBManTwo : to which Benny are you referring ? Hope it's not me, because if it were, then you'd be wrong, not me ! I never ever wrote or stated that outtakes were not interesting to release, on the contrary, i'm a real collector of outtakes, being a recording artist myself in the past. If you really were referring to me, then prove your statement. I hope you'll have, at least, the decensy to answer my question. Always El.

Look at the spelling of Jordanaires.....these must be experts..really....lol..

i for one welcome any release that groups together songs and outakes so if i can get my hands on this i will.even if its all been out there already.,
benny scott wrote on December 03, 2008
genedin : that's the way i feel too. Masters and outtakes on the same CD is nice and interesting. Gives you the possibilty to see how a song was tackled and developed by our man. Always El.
Steve V wrote on December 04, 2008
The masters & outtakes are already one 1 CD, BMG's King Creole CD. There will be nothing new here and if there is it will be unlistenable due to scratchy horrible uiality.
JerryNodak wrote on December 05, 2008
What missing outtakes? If there were missing outtakes we'd have had an FTD 2 disc 'classic' release long ago. As Steve says if there is anything "new" on this release the audio quality will make it unlistenable.
genedin wrote on December 08, 2008
i hear ya benny scott. just keep em coming out and let people buy what they want and give us options.

BBmanTwo, I don't know what you are talking about. Yes, I am basically a Fifties fan. But to me Elvis is like the Himalaya. There are many high tops. I collect almost all the new releases as I always enjoy listening to his voice. About King Creole? I hope there will be a nice ordering as I (and I stated that many times) love to hear how a song was developed to what we got presented with in the first place. That is why I like that part of Jailhouse Rock (Movie). Here you sort of (faked) witness how Elvis made the difference.
