The Elvis Files

November 06, 2005 | Video
Set for release on DVD on December 7, 2005 is the documentary DVD "The Elvis Files".

The description:

Why did the Memphis Police Department close the files on Elvis’ death before medically or scientifically determining the cause of death? Why no coroners inquest? Why are there no photos of the death scene? Why did toxicology and medical reports disappear? Why would Elvis fake his own death?

This fascinating documentary discusses the mysterious details surrounding the death of Elvis Presley in 1977 and poses the intriguing question: is Elvis still alive? Based on the book by Gail Brewer-Giorgio, it features a combination of rare footage, exclusive audio and personal interviews to support Brewer’s theory that Elvis’ death was a staged hoax designed to save his life.

"This fascinating documentary" ...I sincerely doubt it! It seems to me that this DVD is total crap - I will not buy it.

is it just a release of the e-files because it sounds like it, if it is then there will be vol 2 where it proves elvis is dead!

"Elvis has left the building". Controversy will always loom. All the questions proposed here are ligitimate conclusions, but we will never be privilged to this information if it exists. Things happened fast at that last moment and I would assume a lot of it was lost, if perhaps, 'on purpose'. Elvis' departure will never be a 'live-reality' show?

Why? Why? Why? Who cares?? I will not waste my hard earned cash on this piece of crap. Looking forward to the next Loving You FTD 7" Format instead.

Well it does sound like a release of the original E-Files,i`ve still got it on video and it`s not a `must upgrade` to Dvd. I DID think it was interesting though and if this WAS different, with `new` information then i would get it. I`m not gullible either just interested.TCB

I've always thought this was a pretty interesting show along with The Elvis Conspiracy. Though as years pass by it becomes more and more obvious that Elvis is gone, but in the back of my mind will always be the question "what if?". Anyhow, I plan on adding this to my collection, I already have it on vcd, which anything will be better than a vcd disc. Wonder where we will be able to get these from?

I have it on video the taped conversation still brings chills down my spine. Whoever it was it was the closest to elvis's voice I ever heard. Not to bother adding this to my dvd collection rather have 'elvis' the mini series...
