Thank You Elvis

February 17, 2004 | Book
A new fictional book titled "Thank You Elvis" from Lenore Vinyard Bechtel will be released this March by America House Book Publisher. Here is the synopsis from the publishers site:

Presley was born to Leah and Andrew Prescott during Elvis Presley’s NBC comeback special. Vegas was born to Vera and Vincent Callahan under a table at Las Vegas’s International Hotel when Elvis was performing. Their parents believed they were destined for each other. Now these zany Elvis fans are making one last stab at mating them—even though Vegas is engaged to another man. The setting is Tupelo, Mississippi, where they’ve reserved Elvis Presley’s Memorial Chapel. They want Presley and Vegas to dance down the aisle to Elvis’s “Teddy Bear” and hold three-minute kisses through “Stuck on You,” the way they did at their 1967 double ceremony. Even feisty grandmother Matilda wants them to wed. Will Presley and Vegas continue to resist? Or will the parents’ prayers to Elvis be answered? Find out with this rollicking fictional romp that fuses factual Elvis nostalgia with comedy and romance.

How? By greedy people who have no talent, let alone conscience. As Elvis himself wrote in a letter to an impersonator, "Develop Your Own talents and abilities... " In other words, Stop leeching off of me !
