June 26, 2004 | Book
A book which was published in June is "Tarzan Presley" by Nigel Cox. The 464 pages paperback novel is published by Victoria University Press (ISBN 0-86473-480-8).

"Raised by gorillas in the wild jungles of New Zealand, scarred by battles with vicious giant weta, seduced by a beautiful scientist, discovered by Memphis record producer Sam Phillips and adored by millions, the dirt-to-dreams life story of Tarzan Presley is as legendary as his 30 number one hits. But that story came to a dramatic end in 1977 when Tarzan topped himself. Now a big breakthrough as a new manuscript left by Tarzan is discovered we are able to find out what really happened and what it really felt like to be Tarzan Presley."

When I first read this header Tarzan Presley I thought EPE made a womans toy with sideburns:--)) just kidding.

Chill out folks. Elvis is everywhere! Actually, the gorilla looks quite terrified, not surprising considering what Tarzan is pointing in his direction! Poor Jane!

Maybe it is a tad ridiculous. Certainly unusual art-work though. It wouldn't seem so bad if the leaf were pointing down. Whats the "Ask Elvis" feature on Steve Wrights show? I never listen to the radio. (With an "all Elvis" ten CD multi-changer in the car, who needs the radio)! Drives the Missus nuts!

This is simply ridiculous and offers no respect to Elvis; surely EPE can do something about this along with the Ask Elvis feature on Steve Wrights show on Radio 2. Anyone actually enjoy that?!

Having read this book, twice, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially the first part telling how Tarzan was raised. He “becomes” Elvis. The ending is uplifting and hopefully. Please read the book before you criticise it. It is definitely worth reading, IF you can find a copy.
