I wish releases like this one were "available" to everybody because the packaging puts Sony and FTD to shame.

Agreed 100% about the packaging, andrew1, but what about the sound ? We're talking about 4 audience-recordings if i'm not mistaken. So i hope somebody can give us some information about the sound already . Anyone ? Thanks in advance ! Always El.

Went back to the first announcement of the release and read Ciscoking's reaction. I trust the man, so I won't buy this package. The sound seems to be not good enough to spend a lot of money for some nice picures, front- and backcovers and booklet. To me it's still the quality of the music that counts in the first place. Had some bad experiences in the past with audience-recordings. Always El.

4 audience recordings from 71. Not good. Let's be glad that FTD stays away from this kind of stuff.

The packaging will be better than the content. I never buy anything for the packaging.

Don`t get me wrong friends..I haven`t heard it yet..I know the CDR sources and they are not that bad....there are worse but they are definitely not the best..the shows belong to the best of this season with the September show being really very interesting..so I cannot say this release is C-R-A-P..it is worthwhile for AR collectors ...in average sound...

I've just ordered this set for €35 (+ postage). A very fair price for a 4CD-set + 8 postcards. I still haven't got it. The sound quality probably won't be good, these are audience recordings after all. But for €38 (including postage) i won't complain. And don't forget that most likely we will never get soundboards from august/september 1971. So in my book it will be an ok release,if the sound is acceptable.
