Straightening Out the Latest Tabloid Junk

December 14, 2001 | Other
Recently, one of the tabloids in the USA used the news of Graceland having some staff lay-offs to fabricate an elaborate false story. The article says that Graceland is in crisis and that, to attract more visitors and to save it, Lisa Presley has opened the private upstairs area of the mansion for tours and that she has recorded messages to insert into our audio tour presentation. At the end of the article is a "what you can do to save it" section urging fans to write in with supportive comments and a pledge to visit soon. This has resulted in quite a volume of mail, e-mails and calls to our offices, which EPE is answering individually. They decided that posting a response to the article here on Elvis.com would be beneficial. Here's the truth.
