Special DVD Promotion In The Netherlands

May 25, 2004 | Video
BMG Nederland will probably organize a special release party for the upcoming Aloha and Comeback DVD releases (in the Paradiso venue?). The event is planned to take place around June 17th with a special one hour pre-screening of the Comeback Special and a guest appearance of a TCB member. Other plans are a special shop so fans can buy the DVD's and vinyl versions of the "That's All Right" single and "Elvis At SUN" album (both not released in The Netherlands).

Other plans for promotion of these releases will take place with special interviews with the biggest newspaper in the Netherlands De Telegraaf and the popular Radio 2 radio station. There will probably be a cooperation with the Hard Rock cafe too.

A television commercial with material of the Comeback Special is already certain.

I remember when TTWII special edition came out. It was on the big screen all over Europe. But never in the US.I wanted to see it on the Big screen so bad NOW a Elvis concert is going to finally be on the big screen. Elvis hasnt been there in the US except for Memphis in theaters since This Is Elvis in 1981. I remember Thanksgiving Day of 1981 when the movie opened.

You are very lucky people in Holland because in the uk there is nothing.

Great, I live in the Netherlands and I hope that they will also give us a promo. You'll never know.

By the way, are you really serious CRO@KIE ? If you are, the Netherlands is a small country in Europe. Small, but BIG with Elvis. Cro@kie, greetings from the Netherlands (people call it also HOLLAND) With kind regards, HERMAN.

Ok.. after this mumbo jumbo... There is only 1 place FIT! for a King's premiere and that is the 3 years in a row soldout Elvis the Concert place: AHOY SPORTPALACE in Rotterdam The Netherlands. No Heineken Music Hall near the ArenA cause that is nice for a lunch party of the promo of the latest Idols CD but not for the King! So despite all the "me"me" "me"me"talk, Rotterdam is the place to hold this venue! BTW.. i can asure you that Rotterdam will be the first city! to have a copy of that famous DVD! And i am willing to take bets on that so that even Michiel Luyken have to eat his heart out like last time when the release of the 'rubberneckin' CD was out.
