Congratulations to Elvis! There is no funk, rap, hip hop to win Elvis place. Even after 28 years, this news proves that today´s music is too weak! and Elvis is there (yes! 28 years later) to win the best selling single artist. This Is Elvis...

Why the h••• do they have to have Elvis impersonators there?! Why couldn't one of Elvis' friends, that isn't six feet under ground, accept the award?

Let's get it official..We as serious fans don't want any Impersonator to represent Elvis anyway anytime anywhere anyhow! Use relatives or officials but no F#*+&^%G A*&hole in a jumpsuit..Maybe he is a nice person ..but when you go out like that you can expect these reactions..If they are real fans as they claim to be then they know this kind of thing offends alot of us out here (at least that's what I think)It's time to make an egreement ..join forces..Just like Elvis the concert is visited by so called funny party people going to the concert wearing stupid jumpsuits and wigs! We warn them first by taking of their wig or shave them bold ...after that get m out the building, we all can say The Imposter has left the building, and we can have a real nice event!I'm through with these kinds of representation..funk it!!

If they had waited a couple of weeks they could have given it to Priscilla at one of her book signings.

Well said Elvos.I detest impersonator`s with a passion! The only Human Being who ever looks right in a jumpsuit is Elvis, everyone who wears a white(as if it`s the only colour he wore!) Jumpsuit does nothing but demean his image. I think we should also drop the word`impersonator`, Elvis can NEVER be impersonated! Let`s refer to these people as impostors. I don`t know if the above pictures will appear in the National Press, but if they do the fools above are making more of a fool of The King than they are of themselves-Disgraceful.TCB

i really can't believe how tacky the impersanator diminishes EP's image and to think that SONY/BMG would celebrate with these GOD awful .... anyway looks as if PRISCILLA and LISA are just interseted to show up to pick up the big cheques.

TBEFC is fortunate to have members who are also Elvis Tribute Artists. Through their shows, they re-capture the spirit and magic of Elvis and help to keep Elvis’ memory and music alive. I saw this on a website. I agree with it.

Wouldn't you think they'd of considered inviting the cast of Elvis The Concert to the presentation. Most of them contributed to The Wonder Of You and Way Down.

Why is it when ever Elvis achieves the unachievable, breaks more records and gives the powers that be a golden opportunity to capitalise on his successes, someone, somehow, always does their best to turn it into a cheap joke? As with "One night" on totp, a wonderful acheivement has been rendered a laughing stock by publicly humiliating and cheapening Elvis' image. Whose idea was it to use a pair of d***kheads to represent Elvis? Come round my house mate, I'll show you an impersonation of someone kicking the sh*t out of you.

VIVA, by the look of the photo, there seems to be a lot of impersonators at this presentation. These guys have proberly got nothing to do with Elvis and are not even fans.Someone has just told them to dress up like that, for whatever reason is beyond me. Its no wonder why impersonators are hated so much amongst Elvis fans. I think, Elvis fans should get together and protest about events like this.

I think you serious Elvis fans are way to serious. Lighten up. Everyone has a right to earn a living. Even Elvis impersonaters. I've seen a couple that I thought were quite good.

Im not a violent man, but Elvis impersonators brings out the worst in me. And spoiled my entire joy regarding this campaign and Elvis on TOTP, to such a level that I wish "One Night" stayed at #2. Seriously, I do.

I've seen a couple that I thought were quite good. end quote/. I have a great sense of humor, and everybody has to have a job I agree ,what would then have become of those guys if there never were A Elvis Presley??? It's just about making a fool of Elvis, They always need a jumpsuit to confince people that they are doing an Elvis portrait. A good tribute artist doesnt need a jumpsuit but has a good enough voice to sing Elvis songs or related ,with respect and in their own way, Elvis was not a clown wearing big shoes and have a red nose,He was and is a great singer and that is the main thing you have to do. SINGING. Everybody can put on a jumpsuit ,that does not mean that they are a tribute artist!! Those jumpsuit wearing freaks have to know that they are not appreciated this way ! There are/were way to many who wear jumpsuits, that's why we can not take them serious anymore in the way to let them get away with it everytime when there's media attention ! I think there's A job for EPE to ban these kind of clowns ,at least have someone who ment something in the Elvisworld, and those jumpshooters don't mean s#$t in Elvisworld...if you know what I mean...

bossanovababy wrote on May 05, 2005
Guys, like i suggested earlier i think we should stop calling these people impersonator`s,we should refer to them as impostors. CapiTrueno. sorry i don`t know what you mean by your last comment. By Clown i thought you meant the `impostor`and i was just making a sarcastic quip about Tony Christie. TCB

I agree with Elvos and the others. Elvis never received the proper respect that he so richly deserved, mainly because he was just a poor boy from the south, and didn't care to 'hang' with the Hollywood elite. The elitist press here in the US love those idiots in jumpsuits. In my opinion they show great disrespect to memory of Elvis. It's all about RESPECT folks!! Remember: * Friends don't let friends watch Elvis impersonators *

well i am just beside myself at the fact that, elvis impersonators excepted these awards on elvis's behalf. this should have been done by a family member or someone who was close to elvis. and forgive me for being in the dark but.. who the h*#^ is tony christie? epe owns the name and likeness of elvis, they need to put a stop to these imposters trying too make a qick buck. elvis was put on this earth TOO BE elvis.... these imposters were put on this earth too be THEMSELVES. nuff said.
