The new re-issue of the CD "Since Cincinnati" is out now. This is actually an upgrade of the original release that was released way back in 1990. This CD features the before last concert of Elvis on June 25th, 1977. The sound has been restored, and will come in a new artwork. The original CD is one of the rarest import CD out there, so now you have a chance to get this CD in your collection and in an improved sound quality.

I'm looking forward to this, as I originally had to settle on a CD-R of the rare original. From what I recall, it's a much better show than either Rapid City or Omaha and it's still a shock that he was gone not long after. The inclusion of the sets by J.D. Sumner & the Stamps as well as the Sweet Inspirations was also nice to hear. I had forgotten that Elvis was even alive during the reign of that very '70s pop band "Chicago," as we hear them cover their smash "If You Leave Me Now." For me this was kind of sad I was reminded that he lived right up to the cusp of another era. Maybe it's a good thing he missed the peak of the late '70s disco craze...! For an audience show, I remember this being quite listenable. I'm looking foward to any improvement in the sound.

what an historic fantastic concert this is! fans who like the 70's concerts can't skip this one, I think. I'm so glad I had the opportunity 2 years ago to buy the original import cd. the sound is very reasonable for an audience recorded concert. last summer I saw the original import for 80 Euros (!) on an elvis convention.

If you have the original release, skip this one. It's just a copy in a different packaging..

Do you yoursel have it, or have you seen and heard it, RJ? The other reissues in the last year have had deluxe booklets that put the original to shame and often have improved sound. I 'll be replacing my CD-R given as a gift when I was first getting into imports with this superior, upgraded-from-the-original version.

No booklet and Elvis voice is pretty distant in the sound picture. Not so great audience recording. If I knew that, I'd skip this one.

I disagree. Some have even compared the sound as being favorable to a soundboard. I have since gotten this re-issue of "Since Cincinnati" and am quite pleased by the slight improvement on the sound. It may be an audience tape, but it's quite enjoyable. It has more of a pleasing arena sound as opposed to some person with a recorder under the table in Vegas. This is quite listenable and captures, sadly enough, the King's penultimate concert. He's pouring it on and that's another reason it's a must-have late period concert. It's replacing the now-rare '90 import and succeeds. Sure, it lacks an essay or a true booklet, but it does have several very nice color photographs in the enclosed two-page (four sided) booklet, but an inside the tray card photo. This is a welcome reissue, folks.
