It is amazing Elvis is doing so well 25 years after his death. However, like other people on this website, I am confused by BMG marketing strategy. Personally, I think they don't want to promote too much the Rubberneckin single. Think about it, if all the new Elvis listeners buy the single, a small portion of them would buy the album on top of that. I think BMG is just teasing the crowd with Rubberneckin hoping the fan, who knew a long time ago about its release, would boost the sale up, waiting to get some reviews and press about it and then launching a campaign for the album, not the single. This is why I don't expect much promotion from bmg in the coming days, I think they will start a week before the album launch. Concerning the video, I think they should have invested a bit more money in it as it is a great marketing tool throughout mtv. And the Toyota deal will not have as much an effect as the Nike campaign did (true booster of the jxl remix). Furhtermore nike was worldwide campaign.
