Robbie's No.1, Elvis No. 3

In another poll Robbie Williams was voted the most important man in music. The pop singer, who rose to fame as a member of boy band Take That, was placed above music legends John Lennon, Elvis Presley and David Bowie and the VH1 survey. More than 500,000 votes were cast in the poll, which put self-styled King of Pop, Michael Jackson at second place, a huge 77,000 votes behind Williams. The full chart, from 100-1, will be broadcast on VH1 over the weekend. The survey's top five is as follows:

1. Robbie Williams.
2. Michael Jackson.
3. Elvis Presley.
4. John Lennon.
5. Freddie Mercury.
