Record Producer Tony Brown Back At Work

August 27, 2003 | People
Less than five months after suffering a near fatal head injury in a fall, Tony Brown, who played piano for Elvis Presley in the 1970s, is back at work producing records and running the label he co-owns, Universal South.

"I will never take a normal day for granted again," Brown told The Tennessean newspaper. "You don't know how good normal is until you can't do every little thing." The 56-year-old producer was in Los Angeles on business for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences when he fell down some stairs April 11.
