Rainy Magazine Sunday

June 03, 2012 | Book

Two new magazines arrived last week and not the least ones. A great way to spend a rainy Sunday!

ElvisMatters

ElvisMatters

The Belgian/Dutch fanclub ElvisMatters released its 37th issue. The Gold Member CD included focusses on that sad happening 35 years ago: Elvis death. The CBS newsflash, reactions by Joe Esposito and Charlie Hodge, Sammy Davis Jr, Ann-Margret, rectifications and much, much more can be listened to on this depressive CD, that is still a monument on itself.
The magazine itself brings an interview with Marlyn Mason, co-actress in Trouble With Girls, an article on Graceland with many rare pictures and some smaller articles. Of course all regulars like reviews, letters and news are present too.

The Man And His Music

The Man And His Music

Number 96 of the #1 Elvis magazine brings another good read. Interviews with the ladies Holladay (backing vocalists) and screenwriter Michael Hoey give another insight on our hero. Furthermore 1972 (MSG press conference) is revisited and all regulars can be found too.

Yes, Jerome, there is. Sigh. And Johnny2523, I also get wary about this guy. One solace at least, it has been a bigger chunk of the magazine than this time. So there is a slight improvement.

We dont know this fella in the States and I'm glad he is never mentioned in Man & His Music, to me the only magazine that matters.
