It was about time to put up a new one! The last question, if you like ElvisNews to be interactive, was positively supported by 83% of the voting members.

The new one is about the disappearing of a much loved label, but Is the quitting of Madison a real loss?

Okay, my two cents... no matter how much I appreciate what they did in the past, I do not think it is a real loss. The well is about dry I guess, hence the re-releases. I will miss the beautiful artwork though, maybe the guy can go work for FTD? :-) I'd like to thank the people behind the label for what they did, and wish them all the best with future projects, their personal lives and hope it'll be all as succesful as the label was.

If this was 1979 and a wealth of outtakes still existed to be released, a loss of a label like this would have been a tremendous blow. But 31 years later? No. I agree the well is about dry. I havent bought a bootleg in years simply because when I was buying them from the 70's thru the 90's a lot of the stuff eventually came out legally. Enough of my money was spent!

personally I have fallen in love with their latest releases, sunset rundown, rock my soul and especially hillcrest blues, thanks for those great session recordings in a fantastic audio quality. Too bad if the well has run dry for Madison but hopefully enough alternate material will be released by FTD..
