Promoting Live in Las Vegas On-Line

July 02, 2001 | Music
EPE, RCA and BMG Entertainment have teamed up to help promote the release of Elvis: Live In Las Vegas via an unprecedented online campaign. Elvis fans around the world will be invited to experience previously unreleased live tracks from the forthcoming 4-CD box set prior to the July 10 release. Major portals including AOL, MSN, Yahoo and Terra-Lycos will each receive exclusive tracks to offer their customers via streams and downloads in America, Germany, France, UK and Japan. BMG's Click2Music.com will offer visitors to these portals in each country the chance to win a trip to Graceland during Elvis Week, inlcuding tickets to the August 16 Memphis engagement of Elvis-The Concert. Separately, fans will have the opportunity to view Elvis' "home from the army" press conference, which took place in his father's office behind Graceland on March 8, 1960.

BMG has the promotion on-line since July 3. They managed to deliver a very special version of "Suspicious Minds", recorded on 9/7/69, almost two weeks after closing night. So we guess that should be August 24 instead. For more information visit the BMG-site.
