Picturing the '50s

Published on September 7, 2007 through the selfpublishing company Blurb is the book "Picturing the '50s - An L.A. News Photographer's Inside Story" from Neil Clemans. Elvis appears on the cover shot as well as in a full-page photo of Elvis in a train car with Colonel Parker, plus two pages of contact sheets. The size of the book is 8 x 10 inches and 194 pages. Synopsis: "Picturing the '50s" covers renowned photojournalist Neil Clemans' wild ride as a tabloid news photographer at the Los Angeles Mirror during the 1950s. He shot the infamous to the famous. There are over 70 outstanding black and white pictures of historical value, from movie stars of the era, beatniks, murderesses and strippers to presidential candidates and boxers on the ropes. Included are this photographer's encounters with screen legends such as Marilyn Monroe, Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, Joan Crawford, Jayne Mansfield, Judy Garland, and Elvis Presley. With original and previously unpublished photographs.

Exactly baggypants, it looks like a picture taken hours before the Sinatra special...what next?...Picturing the 60's with a cover of Elvis on stage at Madison square garden ?
