Photo Essay On Elvis Wins Award

Memphis magazine has received a national Ozzie Award for its July 2005 photo essay “Living Legend.” Photographed by Brad Jones, the feature captures the spirit of Elvis Presley as he revisits such favorite haunts as Graceland, Pop Tunes, Lauderdale Courts, and other local landmarks.Sponsored by Folio magazine, this year’s Ozzie Awards drew more than 2,200 entries from across America. Memphis won in the category of “Best Use of Photography — Consumer Publication Under 250,000 Circulation.” The awards will be presented October 22nd at the Folio Magazine Awards Gala in New York City.
